The Gap Principle explains the individual factors that go into the decision making process of choosing between hearing care providers. This tool can then be used to assess the difference between multiple providers, and how this might result in a Cost versus Benefit analysis.

A draft questionnaire is provided to measure these individual factors for each provider to result in an index for easy comparison. Hearing Care providers can use it to work out areas they can focus on to differentiate themselves from their competitors.

As the world continues to change at a rapidly accelerated pace, and disruptive technology threatens traditional service and delivery models, hearing care needs a set of guidelines to help it navigate this brave new world.
